Wow, that ad is just choch full Ape goodness! I find it extremely interesting that they actually list the number of each item they have with a "no rain checks" policy.

Any information on when this ad ran? I can assume, with the reference to the TV series, but do you know exactly when. Also, is there any info about Toyland? I realize you may not have any of that info, but I think it helps put these ads into a better context.

Man, to go back in time...

Where did these places get these line drawins from? Mego's art department?

I think a lot of these ads are utilizing Mego's reproduction art books but some of the ones I have are clearly not and they're my favorite.

Bill, this ad is at my house, I'll get back to you on time and place.

Thanks, Brian. Sorry to add an extra layer of nerd, but I really do like to add this to the history of company. Great stuff!

Fascinating resource here at the Museum of which I was (embarassingly) unaware.

I love how they try to add a touch of movement to the figures. Check out Supergirl and Isis. SG looks like she's doing the Rudy walk (from Fat Albert) while Isis looks like she's hitting the dance floor with Tony Manero

            .

Hmmm...I wonder if they're counting the reflective flasher as a tier? (Isn't the fortress 2 tiers?)

But the drawings are very cool!

I think that would be the case.

I also just noticed in that line art for Shazam, that the artist is indicating that the figure has sewn sleaves.
                    It's all good!

No... The floor would technically be a tier (i.e. "ground level), then the next level, and the top/roof would be the third tier. You can't count a piece of equipment as a level...
