Heddon is so called because of it's proximity to Hadrians Wall (a Roman wall that effectively cut off England from Scotland). If you looked up the area on Multimap or similar you would find a lot of the local names derive from been so close to Hadrians Wall (Wallington, Wall, Walhouses, Walwick).
Newcastle is on the Tyne river. It's all kinda obvious really

Thanks for the information. I sort of thought, location had a thing to do with that. Some time ago I had a ebay seller from England send me the break down of the English currency system, (pence, shilling, pound, crown, bob, guinee), both the old and revised system.

Oh, I still don't get that. I know a pound is approx $2 depending on exch rate but I haven't a clue where there others fit in or their US equivalents.
I assume a pence is about a penny and a shilling maybe a half-dollar but the rest I am clueless (and probably wrong on those two as well, LOL). Would be nice to have an idea when they bring up those currencies on English shows sometimes.

Couple of months ago buying stuff in the US was a dream, 1 euro was $1.5 (at one point even $1.6), so stuff was a lot cheaper to get. My spending habbit hasn't changed that much since then, it just isn't as fun anymore
