Mego Sir Launcelot Defends the Chamber

As the Black Knight enters the castle he is met by Arthur's best soldier, Sir Launcelot who luckily was on hand to protect Guenivere. This super card was sponsored by Bill McFarland AKA Wee67.

Check out the new and updated Museum Sir Launcelot Gallery here.

Arthur better be careful. It's a little suspicious that Lancelot was so close at hand to Guenivere.

    Great card set.

I just noticed that the knights don't have gloves. Bad for a sword fight. Go for the hands! Go for the hands!
      It's all good!

I think my favorite thing with this one is the Mego logo on the floor. Nice touch!

Great card. Me thinks that the Black Knight is a total badass. So far he apparently has gotten past everyone.

Is there no one in all the kingdom noble and brave enough to tame the Black Knight? Anyone?

I'm embarrassed for you! j/k This background is reusing the Knights artwork from Dida Displays, including the Mego logo stone floor. .

Why not order a fine Knights display today? Only $50.00 for what you see here. Did I say $50? I meant $45 if you PM right now! Operators are standing by!

I know none of you are actually reading the gallery pages, so you missed the head comparison I did with Richard Burton. I think it was Flynne who pointed this out? The likeness is striking, the nose especially is very distinct. Whoever was in charge of these legends figures was a big movie buff---though Burton played Camelot on Broadway.

Well, at least one of us looked at the Gallery page

Yup, that's my theory on ol' Lance really being Richard Burton from Lerner and Lowe's "Camelot". Scott's use of a B&W profile really makes it stand out, I think. I'm still trying to track down more shots of Burton as King Arthur, but it's moe difficult than you might think. Normally I would revert to screen grabs from the DVD, but the none of the original productions with Robert Goulet and Julie Andrews were ever filmed. The LP does have some B&W still pictures, but get ahold of your wallet to get this album on vinyl.
