O-kay. I got a new work schedule as the header proclaims. So I hope to keep these little philosophical questions coming. That is until someone letter bombs me as a sign that I should give up. On to the question...(about time.)

You have a time machine, Funds, credentials from the Mego era and an appointment with the board members of the 1970's Mego corp. So what would you do? And dont say. "Tell em to get on board with Lucas." That's too easy.
Are you gonna pitch a new toyline. Fix a problem you have with an exsisting figure or something beyond my imagination.

My answer would seem kinda simple. Captian America and Shazam (I think) are pictured in comics with pirate type boots but Mego gave em standard hero boot. Why? When they already had molds of pirate boots. So my meeting with the Mego exec's would be about continuity issues. What would you be talking with them about???

More Trek figures of course (which they could easily do if they don't pass on Star Wars.. this "time")

Alot More Super Villians. Also a Whole lot More Super Heroes for the WGSH LIne. I would've also suggested using Better Materials so there would be No Grey Heads. I would have Loved to see More Star Trek Figures. That Would have been Fantastic and Maybe a Bunch of Super Hero Accesories

I would have tied into the Superman Movie a bit more. Packaging, etc. I've mentioned before that I wasn't a fan of the 12" line and the whole reason was when I was a kid they didn't scream "play with these!" If I had never read the comics and only saw the movie I would see figures for two characters who had limited screen time and one of them was dead after the first 5 minutes. Even knowing that the comics used these guys more, I wasn't like "wow" as a kid. 12" is too big for playsets, etc. At least throw in Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen so there would be someone for Supes to save each adventure.

Well if I had my hands on a time machine I'd pop back to 1938 first and hit every doggone newsstand in town and buy every single copy of Action Comics #1 that I could fit inside that time machine!
Than I'd go back and slap myself around and make sure I never contacted my ex in the first place. Then maybe I'd get around to Megos...in a year or so after I've had all my time-travelling fun! hahahahahahaha.
I'd have had them keep the batman & robin figures with removeable masks and repackaged them (along with superman) so that they came with their secret identity outfits. Also would've made a daily planet or fortress playset for Superman plus some Superman villains like luthor & brainiac. Have Perry White figure as exclusive with Daily planet playset. Lois & Jimmy as a two-pack. Have a "phone booth" (ala ST transporter mechanism) incorporated for change to CK. Maybe come with exclusive CK figure too (unique with molded glasses?) since would be hard to do that with 1 supes figure.

The problem with time travel is that you can never change people's minds.
They are still going to do the same thing. I have warned friends beforehand
that their choice was wrong, and they still did it.
