Not stolen, but broken. I leant a good friend the Batman from my CAH Exploding Bridge playset. Next day he gave it back to me with the raised plastic section that held his head on broken clean off. He claimed another lad jumped out on him from behind a dustbin and it snapped off then. I was gutted as it was a great Batman figure. I still think he was lying.

"I should say I`m very much cleverer than any of the people who put me here. As a matter of fact, I could leave any time I wanted. It`s only a doll`s house after all. Anyway, I don`t mind. I like dolls" - The Mad Hatter, Arkham Asylum. -
I used my Action Jackson in a diarama for school, I think the 4th grade. It never made it home. Of course this was 1972 and it was just Action Jackson, I didn't know at the time it was a MEGO. I certainly never used my good stuff for school projects after that.

Yup, In 1979 My family took a vacation trip to Puerto Rico. Our neighbor called my dad and told them that our home had broken into. When we finally got home My Dad was missing jewelry,a small television and a few items but the biggest missing thing for me was my whole childhood collection of Megos and toys. I was devastated. We later found out it was a couple of teens from the neighborhood. Who were later arrested for robbing other houses.
That incident pretty much ended my childhood Mego collecting, even though I did get two last figures when i started high school. I wouldn't have another Mego figure until 1989.Comment

Yeah, nothing worse than when some of the little 8" guys turn to a life of crime, must be the ones with a touch of head rot or loose pins!! (I know the Joker and the Klingon are somehow involved in this!)
What's that? You mean thieves that are STEALING Mego's??? Not Mego thieves??
Oh .... nevermind...

Never had a mego stolen. I did have another figure stolen. My dad had just bought me a brand new gabriel lone ranger and tonto in the box. A friend of mine came over and he was at our fence outside and asked if he could show his mom the lone ranger because he wanted one. I told him ok and he left and went home to show his mom. Well he never came back. We went to his house and he said he never got my lone ranger. What a liar. I never let anyone see another one of my figures again.Comment
