I hear you, the one day we made plans to go to Antique World this summer, it was almost a monsoon. We still went, but like you said, only the indoor dealers plus a few brave souls were outside when it rains. It's the outside dealers that usually have the interesting stuff and make it really worth going, so if there isn't much outside, it sucks. Oh well, I'll try again next summer.

I got a MIB Stretch X Ray for $10. in 1997, passed on a Kresge Aquaman (for $200) because the seller was king sized jerk.
It wasn't hard for me to fill my trunk on a weekend.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I'd rather walk away empty-handed than give someone like that my money.
I'm guessing he sells on ebay now. I think I've dealt with him. LOL!!!!

I think it was the weirdest experience I've ever had, nothing was priced.
Me: How much is this?
Dealer: $20
I hand him $20
Dealer: Yeah that's right you'll buy it for $20, it's worth double.
This went on for a few minutes, he kept getting more irritated by me purchasing things without dickering. Each purchase was a greater insult to him. I spied the Aquaman on the way out of his booth but I wanted to launch him by that point. In my twenties, I had an insane temper.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

You need to be more calm like I am.
I couldn't even type that with a straight face.
I would have asked the price of every piece on his table, and then complained about everything until I got to the Aquaman and see if he went down on the price, bought it and as I left said " Now this I'll buy cuz it's worth 10 times what you were asking. Just to yank his chain. I don't handle mean people well, and feel it's my responsibility to give them a reason to be that way. Occasionally if a dealer seems like a jerk I'll buy something really cheap and then turn to my friends I'm with and make off like it was something incredibly rare just so he thinks he sold something valuable. At some shows it's the best money I spend making an idiot dealer think he sold me the Holy Grail of toys for a buck. It's even better if he's set up near a dealer I'm friendly with cuz they'll rant and rave after I leave and later on the dealer will tell me how upset he was trying to figure out why it was so important to me and when I tell them what I did they get a good laugh out of it. It's kind of a Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd relationship. "Ain't I a stinker?"It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment
