Never had him as a child, I always wanted one! I'm not sure if I ever even saw one in person until I was an adult. But he is now one of my favorite Mego toys, definitely. I think overall they did a great job on him, it's a shame he wasn't a bit more popular upon release.

I remember seeing ads in comic books for Hulk, Lizard, Green Goblin, and the Falcon when I was hospitalized in the spring of 1975. During that stay my parents gave me the Mad Monsters, Batman & Robin, and the Batmobile. I believe it was the following Christmas when Santa Claus brought me those four Megos and, IIRC, Iron Man. I was never real happy with short Hulk but I loved the others. The Falcon was a great figure and like the others, I thought his boots were cool and well done.

While not comic accurate I always thought Mego should have created Hawkman using the Falcon wings.

Mego certainly did an excellent job on The Falcon!

the Falcon was one of my favorites as well. I have one as well as a Captain America that I'll display together. I always liked the more "organic heroes" (w/less super powers i.e.: Black Panther, Spidey, Batman, Falcon, etc.) because the writers had to be more creative for those characters to make them beat the bad guys.
Btw, speaking of race, does anyone remember the mego commercial: "...and that BLACK superhero the Falcon!" I'm not implying racism here, I just thought it was kinda funny.
However, being African-American I was cognizant of the lack of black heroes on-screen and in comics. So, when the Black Panther, Black Lightning, Power-Man and the Falcon came along, I did feel a sense of pride that we were being represented.

Man as a kid I wanted Mego to make a Power Man so badly (and Iron Fist too of course!) Loved those comics.

Same here -- Cap and Falc was my favorite comic '72-'75, until the Buscema art ended (TERRIBLE Frank Robbins came in then..). I collected a few of the Kirby issues, but the magic of Steve Englehart was clearly over. He breathed life into characters unmatched by anyone in the field. My close buddy had the Falcon figure and it was super-cool with Ironman and Thor..

Other than making up villains on our own (like 'giant' GI Joes..), still wished they would have made a Marvel villain on the same scale, like Dr. Doom. But, they were just 'toys' back then.

I didn't know the character as a kid,
but I like the wings on the costume,
and wondered why Mego didn't do the thing for Spiderman's armpit webs,
as the box artwork pictured him.
