I Like Dressing My Dollies!

I'm always scoping out the chance to pick up some naked AJ's on the cheap. No, this isn't some sort of fetish I have. I want to finish my AJ shelf with examples of figures in all the outfits.

I just picked up two more in beat-to-poop outfits and I can't wait to dress 'em up. I have to decide which outfits I most want to display right now,

Do you get all geeked out over things ike this?

Finding a part I need like a jacket or a boot that complete an outfit makes me way, way giddier than it should.

Absolutely. I'm always on the hunt for loose, nude AJ's or DM's to display outfits on.

I actually rescued 4 nude WGSH and 2 nude POTA figures at a show this past weekend for $3 ea. Smiled all the way home.

I find searching for stuff is the best part now. I really only need some big $$ items to finish my collection, like a RM Robin and a Wondergirl. Once I hit those, I'll look at the AE and some of the rarer stuff like the big Trek aliens, the silver ape and mystery astronaut to finish up the other lines, though I'm an AJ and hero guy at heart. I haven't had the time to do any real customizing lately and shows in the northeast are just non existent for the most part, so I do a lot of ebay hunting and an occasional yard sale or flea market on the weekends when time permits. Prices have been off the charts up here. Finding deals is difficult. I have found some fairly nice hidden auctions on ebay though. Pair of Conan boots, and a pair of GA boots for $4 delivered was the best this month.

I have more fun making clothes than getting them dressed, so the majority of my figures are nekked right now. I think they like it, too.

A couple of months ago, I saw an auction for a complete set of AJ outfits with every outfit worn by an Action Jackson. It was a really nice display.

I seem to be lucky piecing together Big Jim outfits and playset accessories from various auction lots. Someday, I hope to display all the Big Jim outfits I've acquired but I'll need more action figures to do it.

I remember when I first joined this site and found out about customizing. I loved going to Doc's, Joe's and Paul's sites and looking at the clothes and accessories. I'd think about all the cool Star Trek games I could play dressing up my AJs to look like aliens I made up, or use human as slaves in Ape games w/ fur shorts. Since customizing is not a cheap hobby, I'm still doing this slowly, but someday, I'll have all my dream accessories and clothes for my Megos!
