    Mego of the Day: Dimetrodon

Mego of the Day is the Dimetrodon / Sailback Dinosaur from the Mego One Million BC Line, I don't like that look he's giving me....

I can think of nothing better than to fling foam dart magnets at bobblehead dinosaurs.

ahhhhhhh. Beats having a sponge basketball hoop over your trashcan at work.

BC was really one of the coolest lines Mego ever did. Hairy Rhino? T-Rex anyone?

      thanks for making my day.

He looks like the pet dog of the Lizard from WGSH. They say after awhile pets start to look like their owners....

I never saw this line as a kid, but if I had I would have loved it.

                  Hiya David,

Good luck there; even loose, those fellows are seriously tough to find.

Anybody know who owns the boxed versions shown in the Galleries?

                  thanks rche

Magnetic foam spears... what really killed the dinosaurs.

The Dinos are great, but the only drawback is that they're so horribly
out of scale compared to the figures - but they do make for a great display.

What do you need scale for when you have neanderthals tossing spears at Tyrannosaurus Rex? Sounds reasonable to me that the dinos that survived that late in the game were a bit, um.... smallish. Evolution you know; they had to outrun the hairless apes. I don't think they ran fast enough, tho. At least, not around here.

still wondering who has the boxed figures shown in the gals

                            hiya Palitoy,

You wouldn't happen to have some snapshots of the artwork on the boxes lingering around your hard drive? Those are dang near impossible to find. I am thinking of making something akin to a giant cardback to display with the set I picked up from Rob. (thanks Rob - they are AWESOME).

                            thanks

dinos - they're not just for target practice
