Hello Fellow MM Members,
This is my second post since joining so I am hoping someone can help me here. I have an Aquaman VS. The Great White Shark loose set I bought off ebay about 3-4 years ago for just over $600 (if memory serves me correctly....got it from Italy from a "Super Guy".....I think his name was Rudy but not sure). I had one of these sets as a kid and wore that poor shark slap out until the pins that held his lower jaw broke off. I had so much fun recreating that famous scene in Jaws where the shark launches out of the water and onto the back of the ORCA.....ahhhh.....so many fond memories of my original shark my Grandmother bought for me at Toy King in Ocala, Florida in '79.....sorry to digress but I had many fond memories with that set as a kid in my Grandparents pool and couldn't help taking a stroll down memory lane once more.
Anyway....onto my question. Does anyone know where I can find an accurate repro insert for the box that held Aquaman and The Great White Shark safely inside? I am having Tony at The Toyroom construct a repro box for me but without an original insert to scan, that insert design would be maddening and impossible to recreate. Please help.....I'm desperate to display my shark set. Any help, advice or leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
BTW.....in case you read this Tony......thanks for helping to recreate the packaging for my set.......you are AWESOME and obviously highly respected on this site by fellow members. I wish I could go back to 1979 and buy another Shark set and store it for my future collection....if only I had known that this set was going to be such a bust when it came out....oh well. Anyone know where I can find a real working time machine (hehehehe)???
Kindest Regards,
Kris
