    Never understood it

Never knew the point to the POTA Throne. I know it's basically a chair with a jail but never saw the point to it. Was Mego trying to say how stupid humans are or something else?

Ummmm a politician (Leader) should be....errr "bound" to his people..... aaaa it just was a neat idea ?
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
    Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.

Well, I never thought of it as a throne, I call it what it is; a prison chair. And yeah, I guess it harkens to some medievel torture device. It also makes a good trap for your cheesy Batman story!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

Still want one but they almost always seem to be with the box and I'm not paying an inflated price just because it has a torn up box with it.
Patience pays off sometimes though and things turn up eventually.
I had one and I always thought it was a neat thing even if it was kinda dopey when you think about. Like they couldnt just slide out from under the bars? LOL

I always wondered how they tricked people into using it?
Dr.Zaius: You look like you could use a rest. Why don't you sit down?
Astronaut:Thank you talking monkey. I did have a long trip.[sits down and the bars come down with a clang]
Dr.Zaius:Ha! You foolish human! I knew you'd fall for it!
            Astronaut:Dang.

Mmm, I think it was a hidden political statement - that humans lusted for power and the ape knew it so they built this chair that looked like a "throne' know that a power hungry human would eventually sit on and they would have him - especially the astronauts from our time.

...I'm not kidding that's what I used to think.

But I also thought it was pretty stupid and felt it was a left over concept for the Knights line.
              Oh, well.
