Today's Mego of the Day is a pain in the neck to Doctor Who, the 10 inch Cyberman doll. Despite being touch as nails on the series, the Mego Cyberman is a very fragile thing to own. Looking at him the wrong way can cause damage!
I love there Doc Who Stuff. . . .My Cyberman looks embarrasingly human. . . . as he doesn't have any clothes on! But I still Love him. . . .and he's mine!
LOVE the Denys line ~ Look at my Gallery pics of my custom Tom Baker (new coat/pants/shirt/vest..). I really like the Mary Ellen/Leela customs I've seen, but as for the Cyberdudes..?
You're much better off with the 9" Talking Cyberman. It's got an intimidating slight-height edge over your Tom Baker figure, not nearly as fragile, plus it's styled from the 'Earthshock' Davison episode so it still looks retro-cool. Boasting only so-so articulation, but it's a friggen' Cyberman anyways. It's cheaper to acquire AND it talks. NEXT PURCHASE: The similiarly-scaled talking Daleks from the 60s movie.
To me, this Deny's figure is nice and all, but for completists only.
The only time I ever saw these as a kid was at my cousins. They had the Tardis, Dr and Cyberman that I recall. They may have had more. I understand that they are still in the loft of their parents house - one day i'll be cheeky enough to ask what they still have.
"I should say I`m very much cleverer than any of the people who put me here. As a matter of fact, I could leave any time I wanted. It`s only a doll`s house after all. Anyway, I don`t mind. I like dolls" - The Mad Hatter, Arkham Asylum.
I really love this line, but I'm afraid of even thinking about collecting it. It seems rather expensive and so difficult to find good examples. It seems like a real black hole for your money.
The Cyberman is one of my favourites in the line, not entirely screen accurate but it reflects the "Revenge" period pretty well (my fave design for the Cybermen) so I reccomend it. I don't think it's for completists, it's a great (but admitadly fragile) figure.

While, believe it or not, I've never seen 1 episode of Dr. Who I do love the line. I do own a Dr. Who figure MIB. But the chances of me completing the set are pretty low given the scarcity and expense of the rest of the figures. But never say never....

Slap an old AJ fire suit on him. Might be tight but should fit.
Big DR WHO fan here, When i found my way here and found out these figures existed, They went to the top of my must have list even thou they are not in the 8 inch size, In the two years i've only manged to track down a loose DR missing his soinic screwdriver but i'm still looking for the rest and the Cyberman is near the top of my want list second only to the TARDIS
Thanks for the suggestion MegoCrazy, but I think it can be hard enough getting one of them on an AJ. . .and the 2 inch difference too Much, but good thinking.
and THANKS Brian for THAT idea. . . .that looks perfect. . .and a MAJOR flashback looking at those pics too. I never had a Big Jim but my immediately older brother had 2 and the race car driver outfit. . . I remember that page/ad from 30 years ago.
Now that's the right stuff.
I love the Doctor Who line.
I have a Boxed Tardis and a boxed Doctor....
Me and Bo8a fett saw a loose Robot but neither of us wanted to take out a Mortgage just to own him.
I never really been sure about the Cyberman's nose though.
