What I brought home from the Baltimore Comicon

    Me:How much are your Megos?
    Seller:Ah, Megos are $10 each.
    Me:I'll take them all.

    Here's what I got:

I was shaking a little, as I pulled the money out of my wallet. I kept waiting for him to count it and it would turn out that I heard him wrong. The stand had a bunch of classic(mostly 80s) toys, and he seemed genuinely glad to get rid of them. I felt like I was hallucinating one of those toy-fantasies that we joke about here. I mean, the Batman has a broken knee, but his belt and unfrayed cape are worth what I paid for him alone. I needed to upgrade my Supergirl anyway, because mine has some bad holes in her suit. This one has a run and a small pull near the waist, which is in the back and covered by her cape. Once I finish washing the suits, I'll compare the Superman with the one currently in my collection, as I'm pretty sure he's an upgrade too. They're all pretty dirty, but even the crap on Supergirl's legs looks like it's cleaning nicely.

                            Cool for you Amy!

Something similar happened to me about 5 years ago when we still lived in Dallas. I went to a "doll and antique" show and found a carded Sarge, carded Muhammad Ali, and carded Chopper, I believe, all marked for $5 each. None of them major scores or even anything I needed, but for the money, it was extremely cool to find them.

I kept digging, looking for the $5 carded Romulan, but alas never found it.
