It's a shame they never made a Doc Holliday to go with him.

Never had him as a kid, Mainly do to the fact i felt the MEGOs western figures fell way short compared to MARX'S BEST OF THE WEST figures, As an adult collecter i just started pick them up i got my first one in the mail last week who just happend to be Wyatt Earp a cool figure indeed

This falls into the I-didn't-know-it-existed-when-I-was-a-kid lines. I had pretty good Mego knowledge, but this one was knew to me. Of course, I am now 2 short of competing this line.

I had Cochise as a kid (still have no clue what happened to him and many of my other Megos) but this is one line that I intend to start collecting once I get done with my Apes & Star Trek stuff.
Don't really think I want the repros but keep wondering if I should pick them up now while they are on close-out just in case I run into that "can't get those last few original Mego accessories" problem and would have the repros as 'placeholders'? At least that way i could display them. Only i would know that they weren't 100% vintage but I would have the satisfaction of knowing that they were nearly 100% Mego and not just a new toy.

I only saw boxed figures in stores one or two times as a kid, never had any or knew anyone who did. Since they were solid boxes, and I was too scared to open one up in the store, I didn't get to see what the actual figures looked like until many years later. I remember being a bit disappointed because the Morrow box art was so damn cool looking. I've gotten used to them though and now I think it's a cool line.
