Don't know about the UK, but from Belgium it shouldn't be more than $10.
You are probably being gouged, the same thing has been happening to me lately from US sellers. Shipping is all over the place lately

I have been charged anywhere from $15.00 to close to $30.00. Depends on how the seller sends it. 1st. class air, royal delivery signed, insurance, etc.

Basic airmail on a loose figure in a card box is about £3.00. Signed for it is about double that, and with insurance also it is about £8.00. (Double the figures for $s)
You can check here if you need to and click the services...

I know the exchange rates are fluctuating a bit but you really shouldn't be charged any more than ten dollars P&P on one loose figure without insurance.

A few years ago I had a loose Mego sent to me from the UK.
I think they charged like 10 bucks.
The package was covered with UK Queen stamps.
I didn't know you could ship a package internationally just using stamps.

It's still payment and thats all that matters. I sent something only last week to the USA and the PO used stamps rather than a printed label.

I have bought SINGLE megos from overseas and sent SINGLE megos overseas and the cost has been under $10. BUT when then the weight gets higher (a mego in a small mailer box with peanuts weighs less than half a pound or about a Kg) the price jumps significantly.
Any time someone asks for extras (insurance, conf. faster speed etc) the price alos goes up < of course that should have been disclosed in advance.

As always check the shipping cost before buying and consider shipping cost from in what you are willing to pay for an item. (you know that Len -so do I yet I still forget and get burned every now and then).

$10-15 should be about right.

But I've had lots of trouble with UK shipping, basically sellers overcharging.
One guy tried to charge me £75 for a package the size and weight of two shoe boxes combined, to Belgium (a neighbouring country). After a lot of discussion, I paid, he sent me the box. I contacted the shipping company, who said he'd paid £32. I mailed him and confronted him with this. His answer: "Oh, yeah. I didn't notice it was less. Sorry."
And all pieces were just thrown loose in the box, no peanuts, paper, anything.
.
.
.

I had a guy in Germany originally estimate 53lbs (currency not weight) for shipping a single figure, but he was really cool and said that was the estimate some online thing calculated. He told me it was a crappy estimate, and came back with a much more reasonable amt. Freaked me out for a minute.

That's BS. Just because you want something badly doesn't mean the seller has the right to gouge you on shipping

I know I paid about $15 to have a loose Kenner Indy figure shipped from the UK. I have sent many packages to the UK for around $10 each ... just the basic shipping, to keep cost down for them and me. Now for a high end item I would add insurance etc. and that can add up real fast

i would never knock anyone on postage, one time i used to send everything free... free post, free packing materials... i was happy just to have the business and custom

now the post is so high i just charge post and still pack for free, some things like freebies here have gone out total loss to me item, post and packing

but this thing about being done on postage has a fine line, sometimes a buyer will contact me and ask how much post is on one doll, ill tell them the going rate, they then buy the doll and say yeah great, now make sure you pack it in 3 boxes with padiing between each!
give them a inch and they take a mile

i have just as good as always been conned for postage items from usa, they all charge me shipping and this thing called "handling"

my stake on this subject is if you want cheap postage on one doll, like the weight of that one doll, expect it to arrive in a jiffy bag!
if you want the goods well wrapped and packed in a sturdy box or more then that is going to cost a lot more... for the same doll! it could easily double

ill be happy to wrap my items well and post free to anyone here
would you do the same for me?

ask anyone ive supplied here, they pay the price for the doll, and they get international signed for post costing me around £8-£10 / around $20 deppending on final size and weight FOR FREE

ask wrm, narybo, newforce... to name just a few

but as said by someone else if you feel you are being knocked on postage then dont buy the goods from that seller, or leave them a neg if they have overcharged

some folks are making small profits on a item and tend to charge extra on post "handling " because ebay screw us all over on fees... but not me
i half agree on a statement saying it deppends how bad you want a item, its true i bought something that i new would cost much less, it was a flash in the pan purchase and i gritted my teeth and paid

so the answer to a question like that could be = anything

i currently have a moc aquaman for sale in the marketplace ill be happy to send it post free to any member here... but if you want a topless model and security guard to come with it then im afraid you wil have to pay a little extra for that

Most people don't READ the description or care to read the terms and then complain because they get screwed in shipping. It's a rookie mistake we all have made , but should be only done a couple of times.

remember these two sentences or fragments...

" click ask seller a question" and " read the full description"

Read (pronounced RED), inquired. No reply on the inquiry. Still wanted the item for just a couple dollars. Placed a small snipe. Didn't think it would be too much. Won the thing for like $4. and got charged a total of $20 shipped. Mentioned it to the seller and he said he'd be happy to ship it to anyone in the UK for $4 then they could forward it to me. It's one loose figure.

Len. The postage cost should be on the postage label so check it against what you were charged - if you have an issue flag it up with them.
