It's a dilemma Jim.

Last week I picked up a Dr McCoy on a BIN purely to steal the Phaser and Tricorder for my Mr Spock. Bones turns up a couple of days later and leaves me with a dilemma - he is the first issue 'pink lipped' variant, but he has very small but visible patch of paint loss on his head. Normally this type of variation doesn't bother me and I wouldn't have gone out of my way to get one, but the chances of getting another are slim.

So I am now left with a dilemma.

Do I keep my other minty T2 McCoy?
or
Replace him with the rarer T1 variant and put up with the paint loss?

Either way, one has to go as I don't need two. What would you do? Do such variations even matter to you? Do you care? Will the world end?
Either will fit in with the rest of my Trek crew as they are mix of T1s and T2s.

The compulsive side of me will want loose T1s and T2s of them all if keep them both.

If it's a choice between the 2, you gotta go with the T-1

A T-2 Bones is fine, but why keep something you can buy for 5 bucks at any given time ?

Keep the T1 McCoy and create a new character with the T2 body then grab a chair for each of them.

My Vote is on Keeping the T1 Bones. But Only.........

If you can Deal with the Paint Loss. You'd be a Way better collector than me. I'm too Picky.

I'm not really into the whole variation thing yet. But that could change at any time.

Speaking of paint losses:
This is a good time for me to ask a burning question.
What do you guys use to touch up such rubs? How do you match the color?
Or did I just commit sacrilege by even asking this question??
On the topic at hand:
Personally I prefer the type 2 Trek because they sit better.
I like your new chairs btw (chair-making guy that posted)
I just got an enterprise on ebay and I might like to pick up a few of those for the crew. Maybe even get one of those new Sulu's.

I would switch the T-1 head over to the T-2 body but thats just me I hate T-1s but like the face paints...

After standing them side by side last night the T1 won hands down (sorry Chris). It just looked so much better than the T2.

I like T-1's because they look human.

T-2's make everyone look like a muscleman--- and Bones was not that ripped
