Mego of the Day: Daisy Duke

Our Mego of the Day is everybody's favourite cousin, Daisy Duke. While the eight inch figure left a lot to be desired in terms of head proportion and likeness (this is the Mego 12" Wonder Woman head shrunk down) she's still a popular item among collectors.
Or is she? Give us your opinion at the Mego Forum.

One of the few Megos I freed from a card. I put her hair in a ponytail almost immediately to stop it going wild.
With the exception of Zira (who isn't what I would describe as `real` female) this was the first female Mego I ever bought. That first `girly doll` feels a bit wierd at first.
"I should say I`m very much cleverer than any of the people who put me here. As a matter of fact, I could leave any time I wanted. It`s only a doll`s house after all. Anyway, I don`t mind. I like dolls" - The Mad Hatter, Arkham Asylum.

I didn't know her head was WW's shrunken...guess I was too busy lookin at what arm type she has. She has been in a drawer sulking ever since Bo decided to take on his new identity as The Croc Hunter :D

I think I remember reading it's actually a Nubia doll's head (shrunk) --- from the 12" Wonder Woman line.

Why didn't she have the same poseability that Zira, Dynah-Mite and Uhura had?

I didn't have much by way of Megos as a kid (perhaps 8-9 WGSH), so my step-dad spared no time in kidding me about buying a girl doll (Batgirl).

She was the only female I'd buy ~ Except for the recently acquired Uhura from Theressa, she still is..

Yeah, the head is kind of big and its not a great sculpt, but could any figure have captured the hubba hubba of Catherine Bach?

I had Daisy. She came with my Bo, Luke, and Boss Hogg. I think my Mom probably ordered them from Sears. I had issues with having her as well . It wasn't quite as bad as having the 12" WW that someone gave me for my birthday a few years prior. I never played with her, just threw her in a box and stole her coat and jacket for my 8" Superman.

With Daisy, I had a scaled white Jeep that was perfect for her. Having her jump things in it made her less girly.

Is that the same head too as the 12" Wondy? Wow, must be the paint job cause I'm having a hard time seeing it.. Nubia and Daisy look fugly but the 12" WW doesn't look as bad IMO.
