Thrift store find (MEGO)

I went to an old thrift store I used to frequent all the time and found some cool treasures. I stopped going here about 10 years ago because they were taking the good stuff and selling it on ebay. In the 90's I found many treasures here. I've stopped in over the years and never found anything good. The one time I found something the cashier said to another employee, I can't believe Cindy put this out, she usually keeps all the good stuff. The store has new owners and everything is going to the floor. Here's a list of what they had in bags: Evil Knievil figure, battlestar galactica figures, clash of the titans figures, gijoe figures, and this little bag of goodies. Needless to say it made my day to find a treasure in the wild, just like the old days. At first I just noticed the micronauts.That's an orange brain membros a little harder to find than the green brain version. I was talking to Dave Lee on the phone and noticed the batgirl cowl. The best $1.81 I ever spent.

I am always looking for things like that at the second hand store but alas no luck.

Heck, at that kind of price you should have risked getting a few of the other bags, You never know, something good may have been mixed in those as well. Still it's a great feeling to find something when you know the odds are huge against you. The last wild find I had was a house sale, up in a small bedroom were a few boxes of toys and I saw a Spiderman foot sticking up. I grabbed the foot and pulled only to find a suit with 2 type 1 legs still in it. I didn't have time to go through the box there so I bought it for $10, alas, that was all that was in the box.

Dude, you are on FIRE lately. I never find anything worth a crap at thrift stores around here. Happy Meal toys and naked modern 12" Joes and knockoffs are all I ever see.

Yeah, decent toy thrift pulls are less and less these days. I hit 30+ thrifts every week and I'm lucky to find 10 decent things per year.

If you're a casual thrift goer, FORGET ABOUT IT!
