From the Lion Rock World War 2 Collection comes the first Mego of the Day for September, the American Pilot. For somebody six inches tall, Mego packed a lot of detail into this guy. Happy Labour Day.
Wow - Never heard of this guy, probably because I hadn't heard of any of the Lion Rock line until this forum. If I still need a brown leather coat for Starsky, there it is...
Nice figure! I don't collect the Lion Rock series but that doesn't stop it from being one of my favorites to look at. I'm really loving the choices made for MOTD lately.
I've been building a small LR collection for a while now. Basically, I wait for Vinny to need something I have, then I trade him for spares.
These guys are really cool with lots of cool parts. They are really some of Megos best work and highly under appreciated. The Pilot is especially cool because he sports that awesome bomber jacket!
I bought one of the knock offs of this figure back in 83 or 84, I couldn't believe how much it looked like a mego figure. Of course, it was a mego figure, I just didn't know that at the time. I passed on the Menudo dolls however....

Now thats what i am talking about...easily one of my favorites from the USA Line.He also sports a white scarf which is hidden in the pic
Awesome figure
Looking for Remco Phantom. Mego mailer boxed figures
I knew nothing of these as a kid, only learning about them when I came here. I was really surprised to see the level of detail involved in these figures. It seems military stuff stayed popular overseas much longer than it did here.
