More Superheroes and Monsters At Megolike.com

Lots of new things to see at Megolike.com starting with a new page devoted to France's Ceji Arbois and their uber cool line of Battle of the Planets (or as they knew it La Baitalle De Planetes ) action figures.
Sadly, these guys are rare due to their use of a SuperJoe body, which if you didn't know, distintegrates over a long period of time.

Over in the Lincoln International section, we have some additions in terms of solid boxes for the Monsters.
Also added is the famous "Monsters VS The Superheroes" spread from the 1976 Wards catalog when Galoob carried the Monsters line.

Finally in the Unknown Manufacturers section, there are four new Mexican knock off Mego figures.
These crude little guys can barely stand up but they have a certain charm to them that's hard to resist, like some bad piece of folk art.

If you have additions to Megolike.com, drop Lou a line on the site.

Who, those Mexican Super Heroes make the Ledy's look like museum quality statues!!! Those are hideous, but as you say, charming!

I recently hummed and hawed at a $500 Kaliman doll, it's piece of crap but I really wanted it. When I went to photograph these dudes not one of them could stand up, not one.

I am not 100% on that, I can't dismiss it either, one thing is for sure, she's a fashion victim.

Many years ago, I stumbled across a catalog pic of a set of monster action figures that included a female "victim". It must've been the Lincoln set, although at the time I didn't know from Lincoln or AHI. I can't remember which catalog it was, but I don't think it was a major retailer like Sears or J.C. Penney's. It was one of those smaller mail-order houses.

It's quite possible the retailer just took a doll and labeled it "victim" for their feature on the monsters. I know I was excited to know my mom had orderd me a "Super Powers vehicle" back in 84 or 85 from the Sear catalog. When it arrived, I found it to be a generic, futuristic car that was made to fit any 3-3/4"-5" figure. The package did mention Super Powers, but I think it also mentioned GI Joe and other similar lines.

Let's see if I can narrow it down. It would've been 1976-ish. I think it should have been a fairly common catalog at the time. I'm thinking my grandmother used to get similar catalogs all the time in the late 70's-early 80's. This is going to bug the crap out of me until I can remember the derned thing's name....
Could it have been a Harriet Carter catalog?

the victim was definately mailed out with the monsters through a catalog, will work on finding it too, may have a source!
