I never knew about the Westerns until I found the Museum, and even then it took me a while to turn my attention to then. Once I did, they became one of my favorite lines, and Bill is probably my fav of the set. (besides the fact that he's the coolest Museum card ever!).

The west line is just so cool. Lots of accessories and playability, lots of legend behind the characters. I would have loved to see an extention to this line.

Didn't find out about them until 78, my dad pulled up one day and said he had been to Parkdale Novelty and picked up some "Cowboys and Indians". He told me I could have a set if i wanted.

I went out to his big red "Tony Danza Van" opened a case and picked out one of each. I played with them for a while but most of them ended up being converted into superheroes once I lost their guns.

I do remember being in awe of the packaging, then my mom threw it out. I have a real soft spot for the American west because of this.

I never had any Mego Western guys back in the day.
To be honest, I didn't want them.

I used to have and love all the Johnny West figures, but I thought the Mego Western figures were very inferior to the Marx line.

I hate admit it, but I still do think that.

Love this line as well. One of Megos best and one that certainly could have used a second and third wave. Lots of possible choices.

I'm not sure when I found out about them. Probably from some catalog I ordered out of Toy Shop way back when. Wild Bill might have been the first one I ever got from the line.

The Western line is highly underratted in my opinion...I had a few in my childhood (purchased from a local Kresge store)... I vividly remember seeing rows of them on the kresge style card...some of Mego's finest work in my opinion

                  Oh Crap, Sorry.

I don't have this fellow, but almost picked one up a couple of weeks ago. I am sure I will get him eventually.

Never had any of the West figures either, but it's a line I'd like to get eventually. Not a big fan of Hicock's head, but I like his outfit.

I never had any western heroes, or any of the mego legends figures, for that matter. They totally flew under my radar back in the day.

I still don't have any, but think they are pretty cool. Maybe someday I'll get around to them. I feel like I see them on ebay, so maybe they are relatively easy to acquire.

I'm going to throw this up there. I didn't think much of this figure until I spent a lot of time trying to make him look like a badass...Now he's a fave.

I think the cards certainly help bring us a new appreciation of the figures they highlight. I know this one did for Wild Bill. 'Bout time to update the card index page, huh?
