This is one that is on my want list for sure. Just something about the Western Heroes.

I don't remember if I wanted them or not. I vaguely remember having Cochise.
I do find myself looking at them lately now that I've gotten back into Megos but since they are now reproduced I'm afraid of getting ripped off (on ebay or whatever) by thinking I'm buying an original but getting one of those new ones or getting a mostly original figure with a bunch of repro accessories.

As a kid i never saw or had Wild Bill, The only legend figure i had as a kid was Davey Crocket and i renamed him Daniel Boone since i liked that show a lot, I'll probaly track down this series in time so far i only have Davey Crocket missing just about everything but his pants and shirt

The westerns are really neat, but I really do not remember seeing any of them when I was a kid.
          It's all good!

i agree scotta, seeing them on cards really made me appreciate a figure that i would normally not notice at all! megoscott does a great job highlighting the character!

Ahh! The Riffiest Riff-Raff that ever Rift a Raft!

A true legend in his own time. Ambedextrious gunslinger and law officer,
always a favorite hero of mine with human flaws, unlike say Batman; very much real.
Involved in first documented gunfight used in many Hollywood motion pictures.
Shot opponent straight through the heart at 70 yards.
Murdered! 1876 Deadwood, SD. Holding winning poker hand of Eights and Aces,
to be hense forever known thereafter as "The Deadman's Hand".

                Mego in Movie Alert!!!!
Check out Wild Bill The Movie
Very close to documented history but not exact per my recollection.
Still any Mego in a Movie is a Movie worth watching.

Now in the same context as the chicken or the egg,
who do you think the sculpt was made to resemble?
                Wild Bill or Black Knight?

Pictured here seated left with friend and understudy Buffalo Bill, seated right.
That said, why is the Mego Buffalo Bill depicted to look older than
Wild Bill? Answer: Because Gunfighter James Butler Hickok
(10 years Buffalo Bill's senior) died at age 39 in 1876.
Cody lived until 1917 and is well known for his famed
"Wild West Show" in his later years.

I was a kid who always loved the artwork on the Mego packaging. The Western series was definitely a notch up and easily sold me. Wild Bill was my first figure from that line. I still have that original figure but had to rebuild his outfit from original pieces purchased off Ebay. Great figure. Mego always had a nice way of going off the beaten path looking to explore other licenses.
