Big Thanks to MegoRonin...Dr Fate time!

    hello all...
got a PM the other day from Nate offering to send my son (Trent) "something"...well, today a box showed up, and much to our delight, we found a SUPER COOL, JLU Style Dr Fate custom (head by Fred G at Black Kryptonite) and suit by Nate!...

my son was stoked, as he had never seen this "mego" before...
    thanks Nate! truly wonderful gesture!

ok, here is a follow up... after I explained to trent he had to be "careful" with Dr. Fate because the head was resin and might break if he was "too rough", I turn around to see this (excuse the shelves, we have not organized yet, just kind of put stuff up there):
I asked him what he was doing, and he said "putting this great new doctor fate with my conan"..."oh, and dad, I knocked down wonder woman again" LOL

Very cool of MegoRonin to do that for your boy and he looks absolutely thrilled.

          Thanks for sharing!

ditto that! The custom looks very nice and it was a very nice gesture. Hmmm... Having said that I wonder if MR will send me one if I tell him I will post a picture of me placing it on a shelf next to my Mego collection. Probably would not have the same effect as your son placing it on your shelf.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Too much space. Need more toys!

actually, the bottom shelf is for his mego's...the ones he plays with, so they don't stay on display long!

Super photos! MegoRonin, you're the MAN! And Trent, you're the "little dude"! Say Rick, what do Trent's friends think about his Megos?

well, trent is a pretty "sharing" young fellow (likes to "lend" his toys to friends)... I like to restrict friend toy playing to transformers and mattel superfriends, but occasionally a "good" friend will be allowed into our guest house (where we keep our megos) and get to play with them if trent so designates...but, for the most part, "other" kids are restricted from the guest house..

just last night, I witnessed little dude with superman and batman in an epic battle...ah, brought back memories!

Very kind gesture and Trent is a great looking future mego-head.

agreed...was a GREAT gesture (one that will be repaid in kind/karma, I am sure!)...
and make no mistake, trent is a MEGO-head right now... no future about it

Hey, Glad he made it and you guys like him. I wasn't really sure if you collected any non-mego stuff, but saw an opportunity to add to juniors collection. I suppose the head should be yellow for proper JLU style, but I always liked how he looks with the Gold Helmet. He looks good up there on the shelf.

again thank you SO much.... little dude loves all super heros, and he had only seen Dr Fate...he "knew" mego didn't make one because we have absorbed Ben's book, but he loves it just the same... I did have to caution him to be careful, so as not to break the head (most of his figures "fly" from time to time, if you know what I mean!!!)
                              thanks!
