I used to watch it as a kid, I thought the theme tune was very scary.
I'm not sure it would've stood the test of time though.

It's great but do not expect a mainstream type show with all the modern effects and such.
This was made way back on a small budget but somehow it just makes it all the more creepy.

It's still a great show....the Railway station story is still great.....they do stand the test of time...I need to upgrade mine as when first released on dvd they had little or no extras and came in two box sets...then they were deleted for ages and now this box set is out...
I'd recommend it to anyone...this was and still is a great series....there are loads of audio adventures out now too.
ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF IT British by birth....English by the grace of God. Yes Jamie...it is big isn't it....

Never watched the show in its original TV broadcast, not even sure if we had it over here on TV ... ?

Purchased the DVD set though and love the show. It's very dark and can be quit creepy ... as Bo8a_Fett mentioned, the Railway Station story is great. The story with the kids nursey rhymes is a beauty too.

This series is well worth a try, and is still outstanding piece of early British Science Fiction.

Never saw it until a friend lent me his VHS boxset of the whole series about 10 years ago.
Some cool ideas in there, often very eerie.
