Will there ever be another Road Warrior movie? Thunderdome was to lame for me. Yet Mel is up there now. Would it even sell if they do another? Or do you think its gone forever?

It was always called Mad Max down here. They will remake anything these days. . . so who knows. I don't think it would be a clone of the first - not commercial enough these days in the long run I figure. -
They could remake it with Hugh Jackman!!!You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I thought the Road Warrior was a fantastic Movie .
Latley,.. I have been watching it about once a week. I feel the Movie still holds up very high today,.. so the likey hood of a remake,.. probably not.. However ,.. With Hollywood constantly fishing for new Ideas,.. a Sequel is still possible. imo... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

There's been a lot of talk with the original director about making a 4th installment over the last 5 years...but so far that's all it's been...the nearest they got was arranging a gap in Gibson's schedule...but then he got all egotistic and didn't want to do it.....he sees it as the same way Ford sees Solo....so it's dead in the water unless they recast.ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF ITBritish by birth....English by the grace of God.
Yes Jamie...it is big isn't it....

It's only a matter of time before they remake the first one, Mad Max... which is a shame because the first two movies are so ahead of their time that there really doesn't NEED to be any kind of remake/reboot. The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max 2) in particular is one of the few note-perfect films in existence; it really is untouchable. No remake could ever do it justice.
I would welcome a sequel with an aging Max, but with Gibson now an Oscar-winning director, I don't see it happening. All we're likely to get is a remake of the original, or maybe some awful amalgamation of the first two movies.
On a side note, the recent film Doomsday with that brunette chick whose name escapes me borrows heavilly from the Mad Max movies.Comment

Yeah Doomsday was a good watch...certainly a bit gruesome in the unrated version...but had that road warrior mad max 2 vibe...and ended with a sequal in mindENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF ITBritish by birth....English by the grace of God.
