WHO finale aired in US last night!SPOILERS!!!

MEGA SPOILERS in case you have not watched it yet!!!

OK. It's over in the US and we are caught up. They wrapped up the season on Sci-Fi in the USA last night. What an ending, what an episode, just simply amazing! The large cast, multiple sub-plots and fan favorite characters. I read the other threads here right after but if anyone in the US was waiting to jump in and comment-now's the time.

There are some truly great moments in this story. The rescue of Sara Jane from the previous episode's cliffhanger. The TARDIS's almost destruction. The second Doctor. Davros lecturing the Dr. in front of Rose. Mickey and Captain Jack in an embrace. K9's cameo. Torchwood's cameo. Everyone in the Tardis escaping. Donna peeling Sara from Japtain Jack so she can hug him for herself. Towing the EARTH back home! The saying of the goodbyes at the end-especially Sara. Leaving the door open so Mickey may yet return. The return to Bad Wolf Bay.

Dialogue was top notch in this story. So many good exchanges.

Anytime Dalek Caan speaks- Eeeeeee-hee-hee-hee-hee-heee!!!! The Doctor is coing!!!
    -------
Daleks - Daleks do not apologize! Exterminate!
    -------
    Donna - You are nuuuuude!

    Doctor - Oh yeahhhh!
    --------
Supreme Dalek - Davros, you have betrayed us!

Davros (innocently) - It was Dalek Caan....
    --------
The defeat of the Daleks made good sense but seeing them so powerless and getting kicked around like spazes seem just too cruel and too easy. I almost thought I was watching a Children in Need spoof of the show. Still why was the Supreme Dalek able to fire his weapon when no other Dalek, evern Davros, could fire.

The towing sequence could have been done differently. I know it's very WHO to it the way they did. Maybe they could have instead make it seem as though he wasn't sure he could return the Earth to the solar system. Instead of towing he could have said he was going to dematerialize the planet with the Tardis and re-materialize it back where it should be but it means the shield protecting the air and heat would be shed and it would be risky, etc. But I guess if it was done that way it would have been very Star Trek instead.

Donna's dilemma and her cure did seem a bit Rose redeux in The Parting of the Ways but I can live with it.I regret not seeing the Torchwood season finale and Sara Jane's as well. Did they directly lead into the Doctor's season finale?

Something very interesting here in NY in the US is how many of the commercial brakes are of the local strip club, Gallaghers, here in NYC. Nearly every break cuts from Doctor Who to women in slinky outfits gyrating non-stop for the commercial. Very strange indeed!

So now that the Doctor has no companion does that mean Alex Kingston will join the show startig next year?

Apparently Alex could well be back as she is Steven Moffats creation and he is taking over...for me the dialogue from Davros was the real triumph as well as his interaction with the doctor and his true understanding of him....he , to me, is more of the Doctor's moriarty than the Master was last season...a true genius...a true intelectual nemesis...a true threat...
Hopefully he'll be back....agree with you that the daleks have become almost the whipping boys in the new series what with the Rose/Vortex eliminating one fleet and the Donna/Doctor eliminating another quite easily I'm gonna find it hard to imagine them as much of a threat anymore...considering it took a lot more work to eliminate fewer Daleks in the Manhatten story and the single one in Dalek...
ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF IT British by birth....English by the grace of God. Yes Jamie...it is big isn't it....

Sarah's season one didn't lead into the show i haven't seen torchwood season 2 yet so i'm not sure of that, but thanks to the finale we got Torchwood spoilers! as far as commercials while i wouldn't want to see strip club promos they were probably more watchable then the constant elderly heathcare and rehibliation centers spots i saw all night.

I enjoyed the show immensly but did have a few complaints. a second 10th doctor- while it took care of the hand and gave someone to rose it wasted a regeneration. so is David now the 11th doctor as well?
Some daleks should have gotten away-please stop having this awesome power to wipe out fleets. and if daleks are back we need some other time lords as well. or just Romana and Leela escaped with thier K9's.
PLEASE have the doctor start off the next Christmas special sometime after this adventure and several more with a possible companion we never see. that way they can put new stories and companions in novels, audios and comics and have his time as the Doctor expanded. he could come back and pick up someone even alex or someone else and him be happy after other recent adventures we will learn about later. i don't want to see him brooding after each new companion leaves.
But the main thing is i love this show and hope david does at least 5 full seasons.that to me would be a good run for each actor. along Jon Pertwee run.

        Here's what I didn't understand about the conclusion ......

Was Dalek Caan good or bad ?

If he was good and knew the Daleks would be destoyed, why did he go back in time and save Davros from the Time-War to begin with ?

My guess is he didn't want to muck up the time stream. You know the whole can't change it,it's written in stone deal. As to the regeneration deal,I thought he said that since he transfered it to his hand,it doesn't count. Could be wrong. One last thing while I remember it,did we ever get Time Crash? I don't remember any promos on Sci-Fi for it.
