Star CRASH!!! ??? Another Trailer 1979

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzfuN...eature=related
WOW. . .never saw this one back in the day. . .looks like a C grade Star wars rip off. . .with a big name (Christopher Plumber) in it. . .and a dash of 70's chicks in skimpy outfits.

FOund this trailer off the Black hole trailer Mikey put up.

Anyone see this movie. . .and how BAD was it!

Let me put it this way, it's Italian and it stars David Hasselhoff.

The director Luigi Cozzi also made those fantastic Lou Ferigno Hercules films.

Personally, I like this movie, Star Wars knock offs are kind of a thing with me but it's a train wreck.

If Lucas had replace the Stormtroopers with Amazons in bikinis he might have been on to something.

Caroline Munro is better than any special effect in this film and I forgot to mention that it's actually her movie, she's the lamentably named "Stella Star".

There's a lot of SFX. Lotsa laser out of the eyeballs, some stop motion. Really blew the budget.

I like Star Crash even though it's odd.

I rember reading about this movie in Starlog and dying to see it Because of CAROLINE MUNRO, I just LOVE Her But it was sooo cheesy it didn't last 1 week at a drive-in anywhere near me. i had to wait until it came to saturday afternoon movies on tv and then videotape it. i know it's bad but i love it for Caroline! see her as the star through all the movie is worth the agony of all the rest of it. i mean space battles where you send a torpedo through the windows of the opposing ship where men jump out of the torpedos and the no vaacum of space pulling anything out those same windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 But as i said Ms. Munro is worth it!!!!! for real fun then you throw in Marjoe Gortner and
                    The HOFF.

I've seen this movie so many times it's ingrained in my psyche. My friend, horror writer Stephen Romano (http://www.shock-festival.org) has written a journalistic book about the making of this movie called COMPROMISING HYPERSPACE. It's a page-turning series of interviews with the key players-- including Cozzi/Coates himself, the producers, Munro, etc. -- behind the film. Unfortunately, because a lot of the material casts certain persons in an unfavorable light, Stephen has decided not to publiush the book just yet. But that said, we love the movie -- for its many faults as well as its achievements -- and have endured man, many late-night viewings. The music by John Barry (James Bond, etc.) is excellent, and some of the action scenes are really superb.

EDIT: Sorry, I can't get the Shock Festival link to work. I'll double-check the url and fix it later.
