In Theaters: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I don't mean to be smarmy, but could someone in the know tell me why I might care about this?

Warnerbros.com | The Official Site For Warner Bros.

In theaters? I just can't see shelling out the cash for this. However, and this is an honest inquiry not a challenge, if someone more knowledgeable could tell me why it would be worth seeing, I would be open to changing my mind about it.

I don't think that link works - gets me to a blank Warner Brothers screen.

I must admit I saw the Trailer at the movies Yesterday. . .and I thought much the same.

Sure the animation looks fantastic. . .but we are jumping backwards into the middle of a story that has already finished aren't we.

They seem to recreate most of the actors likenesses except for Anikan Skywalker. . .why. . .or am I missing something????

I'm gonna go see it but I loved the animated star wars, clone wars on cartoon network and This looks pretty good to me. I may be wrong but hey I've wasted $10 on alot worse things.

I am taking my 5 year old nephew to see it. I know it's en vogue to rip on the Star Wars prequels, but although they aren't up to the original trilogy, they aren't that bad.

The series will continue on Cartoon Network and will actually be better than this film, which is the first 3 episodes of the show. I know someone who worked on it and she said they learned a lot in the process that makes the later epsiodes even more visually powerful.

They tried to give the show the feel of the old McQuarrie concept paintings---it's a CGI show with fully painted textures.
