Morbius is my second most fav classic Doctor Who of all time .....

I've owned the BBC VHS since the mid 80's --- the butchered 60 min version.

    I can't wait till it's is released in R-1 NTSC DVD .......

I actually put my 60 min version in a charity auction at a Who convention at Wolverhampton (cleverly called the Wolves of Fenric convention) and modelled by the lovely Nicola Bryant the bids went up to £80 ( this is about 13 years ago and the rereleased full vhs version had been out for a while)...when it was announced that the vhs tape was still in the case the bids jumped and it eventually sold for £148. Not bad for a butchered version...on second thoughts maybe I should have kept hold of it...lol...still the money went to charity and I got a peck on the cheek from Nicola Bryant for donating it.....

You got a peck on the cheek from Nicola Bryant ?

Forget about the money -------- THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH FOR ME

I never got rid of my Morbius VHS, I know I didn't sell it or give it away --- but somehow it got gone in my last move.
I have a feeling (heaven forbid), I threw it out by accident.

Yes, the kiss by Nicola would be enough for me...!

Glad 'Brain' has been released. NOWWW for the rest of the Baker early classics, like 'Seeds of Doom', 'Face of Evil' and 'Masque of Mandragora' ~ ALL classics, much better than some that have already been released..

Right at the moment, I have a boot copy of the full version recorded off of BBC America in the late '90's (Whovie version) ........ I got it from a former Museum Who dude that suddenly disappeared (I miss the guy)

It's quite pixally from the compression, but it serves it's purpose.

I'm hoping Image of the Fendhal gets a release soon...I really liked that one...it's a shame Tom's tenure lasted so long...it means we'll have to wait for ages for some of his stuff to come out...State of Decay too

I'm betting this is the same guy that sent me the majority of the Tom Baker years on VCD.

It was a damn shame he picked up and left!

I think so Mike. . .I can't remember his Museum Name though. All those e-mails and stuff with him from about 2 and a 1/2 years back are now on a dead hard drive.

I finally bought this story and watched it last week.

I distinctly remember when I watched this on PBS back in the mid-80's that there was a text crawl with Tom Baker narrating at the beginning of the story. I remember it because I thought it was odd since no other Who story I had seen started that way. And my cousin mocked it because he thought they were ripping off Star Wars.

But this isn't on the DVD (which is fine with me, I prefer the story without it). Is this text crawl on the edited version you guys are refering to?

i always like this story and have it on tape still. However my Nicola Brant story is better than that. she came to the Springfield MA show united fan con ages ago and i could only make it to friday nite as i had weekend plans i couldn't change. so i paid to be there when the guests arrived and got to meet her. asked for an autograph and since i wasn't going top be there anytime else and she was the reason i was there that night she did sign something for me. i then asked for a kiss and she planted one right on my lips!!! I wasn't ecpecting that and asked for another to have photographed and unfortunately she said no. but i still have that wonderful memory. and the one of seeing here in the little black dress she wore in england.
                            PURE HEAVEN!!!!!

                              Alright already. One kiss, OK.
On the lips, Jeez, OK, I can just about live with that.
But then you ask for another one?
What was next? Getting a room????

                              Stop hogging Nicola!!!!!!

Poor Morbius. This thread was supposed to be about him, but now all I can think about is Nicola's breasts,....I mean, lips!

Btw: welcome back to a couple of guys I've really missed. But no more kissing stories, OK? Next thing we know, you've just frenchkissed Halle Berry or something....
