That was the very first episode I ever watched. I had never even heard of the show, they were running them late night in the early 70's on a local LA station, way past my bedtime. One Friday night in '74 my Uncle introduced me to the show, and during the commercials he kept saying, "wait 'til you see her, she's absolutely hideous". When the bandages came off I was totally bewildered, until the big reveal, which blew my 11 year old mind. It was around this same time that he introduced me to radio mysteries. Fun times!
I did not appreciate this one when I was younger. By the time I ventured into my 40's though, "Push Push Push" resonated much more deeply and the dream of Willoughby seemed like a much more appealing way of life. Heck, these days, even the reality of Willoughby has its own appeal.

“Of Late I Think of Cliffordville”.
Julie Newmar as the Devil; what’s not to like?
edit:oops, that’s an hour long episode.
Ok, then:
“The Changing of the Guard”.
Always leave me teary-eyed.Last edited by warlock664; Oct 29, '22, 9:56 PM.Comment

Yes I left off the hour long episodes for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they just aren't played as much on television now. Secondly, the longer form gives more time for a good writer to really develop something, or for a bad writer to bore an audience so it seemed unfair either way.Comment
