I really like that flick...Snipes was indeed great, Stallone was actually likable, lol...and Sandra Bullock never looked better, yum.

Denis Leary is what saves this movie.

              Hmmmm....

Demolition Man is kind of a sore point for me.... I really liked it, mostly 'cos it WAS MORE LIKE THE JUDGE DREDD COMIC THAN THE STUPID JUDGE DREDD MOVIE!!!!!

How can you not love dan cortez as a lounge singer "good things from the garden"

Stallone's best non rocky performance in my opinion. And Wesley Snipes was great "Jeffrey Dahmer...I love that guy"

I loved Demo man so much I bought it on laser disc back in the day just so I could have it in widescreen cost me like 50 bucks. Still watch and quote it frequently

I was reading about Demo Man on the internet ....

It said both Jack Black and Bill Goldberg had bit parts in it.

Also, Rob Scheider is uncredited --- I never noticed that.

I enjoy this film a great deal in the same way I like gas station hotdogs, they're junk food but I can't help myself.

I haven't seen Judge Dredd since theatres, if I recall, it really had the look down pat but I thought the story was too typically hollywood for it.

                            >I haven't seen Judge Dredd since theatres,

                            Consider yourself lucky.

                            >it really had the look down pat

Nope! Judges don't wear armour. There's a story that explains WHY. The bikes don't fly. The guns don't talk. (But oddly enough the bikes DO.) The ABC Robot looked pretty good; for a sort of generic'd up Hammerstein. The actress playing Hershey looked NOTHING like the character from the book. (Although the actress playing the evil doctor did.) Dredd NEVER shows his face....

                            >but I thought the story was too typically hollywood for it.

Yeah. I'd heard it'd been rewritten a ZILLION times, and that's probably why it eventually became the generic sci-fi film. They threw a lot of stuff from the comic in, but it was all wrong. The council of Judges was basically all the Chief Judges from the comic. All at once. (Any ONE of which could have taken out that robot themselves....) Dredd always KNEW he was a clone, and didn't care. Judge Fargo; first Judge and donor of Dredd's DNA died a long time before Dredd was born. Judge Hershey is pretty much a female version of Dredd. The character in the movie acted more like Judge Anderson; who's also one of the city's top psychics. With Anderson it would have been a MUCH shorter movie. ("By the way, a robot's gonna attack tomorrow at 3.") Fergie was a 12 foot tall ogre from the Undercity in the comic. And in the comic, when Dredd told the two warring blocks to give up; they DID!

                            *sigh*
