One episode and I'm done. I really don't like the look of the uniforms or the ships.

I didn't like the sound of the words coming out of the characters' mouths

There was no reason to believe that yet another iteration of Kurtzman/Goldsman Trek would be any better than Discovery or Picard, but for some reason I always have a glimmer of hope that maybe this new production will accidentally land a writer or two who could potentially construct some decent episodes.

In the meantime there's just cringe and boredom.

I thought the first episode was pretty good for a starter. It was a pretty good story and the big hurdle, would I buy into Spock, Uhura, Pike despite us being on the third iteration, seemed to be "not that big of a deal". I think the uniforms, ships, and visuals were kind of impressive despite no stage hands moving the elevator doors open and closed. Just wish it would have been obvious model work on the ships, like TOS. We'll see how it goes from here, but it has me interested for a start.

I think it is good that they brought back a version of the grey jackets.

The phaser seems fine, it's a little distorted or weird.

I guess they are past the point of using The Cage weapons.

It has a lot of potential.

And, it is kinds cool, that if I looked at the right thing, that they have a character from Space Seed in it.

I haven't been into anything labelled "Star Trek" in a while but this looks to have its heart in the right place, optimistic, progressive, regular old Star Trek.

Looks like fun, optimistic trek again) I admit i find picard and discovery very dreary and dismal. And I am put off by the f bombs and language.

i'm looking forward to this. Glad they are using M'Benga. i liked him in the few episodes we saw him in TOS. The Andorian should be interesting. Is that retcon having an Andorian in Star Fleet at that time?
