What did you think of yesterday's Who ?

Yesterday meaning, this episode premiered last night in the USA on Sci-Fi Channel...
    I forgot the title ...
It's the one where Tennant is trapped on the space-bus on the "Midnight" planet....

    My thoughts,
I like the episode but was let down with the conclusion.....
It was a big build up -- and had NO payoff at the end.
    Very bad story telling, imo

Also, RTD sure loves to throw in gratuitous gay and lesbian references in almost EVERY New Serious story.
The guy is fixated on the subject.
It's almost to the point, you can play a guessing game at the beginning --- who's gay today ?

    Troughton was great .....
Everytime I see him or HEAR him, he reminds me so much of his old man.
The only shining part of this story was his presents.

I would put this story just a tad above Love and Monsters .......
Truly the stinker of this season -- so far ....
    Thoughts ?

Yeah I agree. That Jethro kid they couldn't make up their mind what to do with him,at least I thought so. One minute they've got him acting like a typical teenager, the next he's acting like he's got a brain, then they have him revert back. And don't get me started on Dee Dee.

I liked the episode though it was tough to watch. Basically it's DW's version of 12 Angry Men. It was frustrating that there is no definate answers to what was going on but basically you understand some sort of body snatcher invasion was thwarted. So that was Pat Troughton's son? Good actor. I really liked the hostess and Dee-Dee.

Mike, RTD is gay and he makes no secret of it. Including Gay and Lesbian charaters is a modern step for Doctor Who. If he were making the show in America they would be picketing outside Sci-fi until tehy removed the show from the schedule.

I for one, really enjoyed it, thought it was very strong and tense. A highlight of a somewhat drab season.

RTD's spotlighting of gays and lesbians is to show that in the future, it's no longer a big deal. It's exactly what Roddenberry did with minorities and women with Star Trek. It's progressive and I don't find it mars the show.
