i loved it. watched it twice already. i'm glad they started with flashbacks to explain how he survived and where he's been for the past 5 years before reappearing in Mandalorian

The character's design by Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston is awesome, from that original concept of the white Super Commando armour to the bounty hunter we know so well today. Boba Fett has captured the imagination of generations of fans.
(For me, Fett will always be Jeremy Bulloch in the suit and voiced by Jason Wingreen. But hey, Temuera Morrison is cool, too.)

Why do peeps still like him ?

An iconic vintage Kenner action figure based on a cool looking character with mysterious back story (originally). Mostly the Kenner figure.

I don't think Lucas really got the character or realized his popularity when using him as a throw away joke in Jedi.

Been waiting for this for decades and Robert Rodriguez and Favreau did not disappoint in my book.

I will say what I anticipated was way better than what I saw. I was hoping for Mandalorian level stuff right from the opening but it's not there, but I'm hoping it will pick up in the next few episodes.

So far, all they have done is set the table so I find it impossible to guess at this point if the meal will be good or not.

Thought it was decent. Will base my ultimate decision on how the series goes as I felt this was solid, but spent so much time on flashbacks that it didn’t present a compelling story for the present. If the show remedies that, then all good.

The flashbacks were cool, answering a lot of long-held questions.

Surprise. Harrison Ford is suppose to be coming back as Han either here or in The Mandolorian. They're going the Mark Hamill route with Ford and de-age him.
