Then there will be three specials in 2022, and Chibnall and Whittaker will be gone.

He was the last of what I call the Columbo Doctors

Sleuth Doctors that relied on brain-power more than out-right brawn

Given that, I do admit to liking Matt Smith -- The gent was just sooo likeable in a Patrick Troughton kinda-way

I still enjoy the show but need to catch up on recent episodes. I did recently watch this PBS special on fandoms and Doctor Who. Pretty interesting to hear PHDs discussing the Doctor no matter what era of Who you're a fan of.

I bailed in the middle of last season but watched this season opener was decent. I'm going to watch it out and see how it goes.

i'm with Mike, i loved it until Matt Smith left. I tolerated Capaldi but didn't really care much for him and Whitaker I bailed on altogether after 2-3 episodes

I just couldn't get past the massive retcon of almost 60 years of DW history in "The Timeless Children".
And yet I'm still watching this new season out of (morbid?) curiosity.

I guess one benefit of this "Flux" arc is that we're getting a return to cliffhanger episode endings.

"War of the Sontarans" had an intriguing premise, but kind of went off the rails towards the end.
