First episode was interesting enough.
Matt Smith put in a compelling performance.
Emma D'Arcy was also good as Rhaenyra.

And Paddy Constantine as King Viserys was also excellent.

It was a good start! Writing and performances were strong. Hopefully it only gets better

I watched this yesterday and agree with above. Matt Smith I think is my favorite so far, but Viserys is good as is Rhaenyra. All good performances and compelling so far.

Milly Alcock plays the younger Rhaenyra. I'm guessing at some point in the series Emma D'Arcy will take over. I am enjoying the prequel. Theres so much potential back story to the Targaryens.

i really like it so far. i figure at some point this season they will jump forward in time. the cast includes older versions of several of the young woman.

You're correct, at some point this season there will be a 10 year time jump and D'Arcy will take over for the rest of the series, which is supposed to cover a 28 year time span.

All in all I think it's been an excellent first season. Hoping S2 broadens out more now that we've gotten the set up out of the way.

The show started slow, but got going…I enjoyed it…way more than that other one with Elves and Hobbits, or whatever the heck they were.
