I've seen them in Borders, Suncoast video & Sam Goody, ( is Sam Goody stilla round anywhere?). There are a heck of a lot on DVD but usually Borders has the shelf space to carry a large variety of them.

You could also try ordering them from Who North America. I've dealt with
them numerous times and don't hesitate to reccomend them.

My Local Best Buy is good to stock the new releases, occasionally one of the more expensive box sets will linger.

I've seen them at Movie Stop. And before anyone asks what it is,Game Stop has a small chain of stores that sells movies.

Dr Who dvds should be distributed free to all...if I was in charge that's the first thing I would do...after a cup of tea that is...then spend billions on sending a space probe so far out it could recieve all the missing stories transmitted and send them back....completing the missing stories.

If you order on line try, www.DeepDiscount.com - DVDs, Blu-ray, HD DVD, CDs, Books, Video Games and more , free shipping, if you don't mind the wait. If you do buy, try to get the box sets. They cost more but, in the longer cheaper than buy the seperate DVDs.
The Beginning- The first three Doctor Stories back in 1963, William Hartnell
Lost in Time- Incomplete stories from the first two Doctors, William Hartnell and
Patrick Troughton, Wished more his stuffed survived.
Key To Time- 4th Doctor- This was a story arc that lastest all seasons. Also the cost of
box set equals the cost of 5 of the 6 DVDs in the story arc.
A New Beginning- last two Tom Baker (4th Doc) stories and First Peter Davison (5th Doc) story.
There is a new one just release, that contains the Jon Pertwee (3rd Doc) stories about the Sea
Devils and the Silurians and the Peter Davison (5th Doc) story Warrior of the Deep.

To be honest, imo Doctor Who DVD's are the most over-priced TV series there ever was.

Don't get me wrong --- I love the show .......

But retail prices for the DVD's are nuts....

If you break Doctor Who (the Classic Series) down into seasons and not stories ... then compare prices, you'll see what I mean.

                    They're a rip-off

Did do a post with all the released stories on dvd somewhere if you can find it.....they are over priced but have been re-released over here at half price after a year or so...dunno if it will catch on over there....took Barry to a couple of shops in London and he picked up quite a few for a fiver each (£5-$10).
Play.com have them quite cheap on the UK site dunno about the international...

Totally agree with you t1k...but considering the amount of extras you get for each story and the restoration work that goes into most ...at least you can see the profits are being ploughed back into the releases and they arn't just putting out the story to turn a quick buck.
Most of the extra's are new and/or quite well done ...every story has commentry and facts.....related clips from other shows...intros....vdv/pdf content....so the discs (considering some of the stories are 45 years old) can be expensive to put together....expensive ...yes....worth it.....definately.

Here, if you can find them at retail (not the internet) most Doctor Who stories cost about $17.00 - $24.00 (not including 2 disc sets)

Here in the US, Doctor Who is more of a novelty, so the prices never went down.

                          $17.00 - $24.00 ... comes out roughly to $100.00 -$125.00 per full season

                          It's crazy

for me, the extra's mean nothing.....

I just want the story itself

I suggest you watch some of the extras t1k they are very good.....$17-$20 is actually cjeaper than here when they are first released....considering most stories are 4 episodes...totalling 1 hour and 40 mins of viewing...just under the average movie running time these days...it's not too bad....most movies on dvd here are the same price on release.
Seeing as you pay less for a 2 parter and the same (usually) for a 6 parter I think it kinda evens itself out...anything from 1hr 40 - 2hr 30 viewing time for £20 (which would be approx $40) is good IMO

Even the new seasons coming out on vanilla format(no extras) 3-4 50min episodes...so 2hr 30 or 3hr 20...for £20 is good value....season box sets are even better at £50-£60 for 10-11 hours viewing is great...thats without watching all the extras...
