OK, we're gearing up for something big.
The End of All.
A whole slew of classic characters return, and the big finale is getting started.
You know, this episode saddened me.
Apparently, Donna's fate is to die a meaningless death, that is simply needed to set things in motion and save the Universe. So not meaningless in the end, but it will be for her on a personal level.
After hearing from her Mom that she'd never amount to anything, how much more bitterly ironic can you get? It's realistic, it's dramatic, but it sucks bigtime.
It kind of says: some people will never have a meaningful life. The best they can do is step in front of a truck. Look up the word "bummer" in the dictionary, and add a photo of Donna Noble.
God, I'm ready to start snorting heroin after this....
