I reckon it would be great if he would do the Audio adventures in his fathers role. Maybe Nick Briggs could talk him into it, after all they had Geoffrey Bayldon as the first Doctor ( he should have played the part in the 5 Doctors )." But you can't kill me, i'm a Genius "Comment

I havet'a scratch my head at that statement. The only thing I could think of is Jon Pertwee was married several times so perhaps Sean's Mom was divorced and he harbors ill feelings towards his Dad for it? That's all I could think of!Last edited by johnmiic; Jun 16, '08, 12:56 PM.Comment

Found this short interview:
SEAN PERTWEE, son of former Doctor Who Jon Pertwee would love to play the next Time Lord.
Actor Sean, 43, admitted: “I’d definitely do it if I was asked and I’d definitely do something in the show such as a guest character.”
Sean admitted that he even put a bet on himself becoming the next Doctor.
He added: “I went to the bookies after a few beers to put a £50 bet on myself but the guy behind the counter said: ‘Who the f*** are you?’
“Word got round that I must have inside information as the chavs and kids in baseball hats in my area of London started putting bets on me. It was all quite embarrassing.”
Best known for roles in Cold Feet and The 51st State as well as once running a film production company with Jude Law and Ewan McGregor, Sean and son Alfred are huge fans of the drama starring David Tennant.
He went on: “Alfred is six next month and loves Doctor Who. He also watches re-runs of the ones my dad was in. He’s proud of his grandfather though he never met him.”
Pertwee was the third Time Lord from 1970 to 1974 and he also played scarecrow Worzel Gummidge before his death at 76 in 1996.ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF ITBritish by birth....English by the grace of God.

Yet in another interview...:
Would you play the Doctor?
No. I have a very definite idea of who Dr Who is..
He's your dad.
Exactly. He's my father. And he was a very odd guy. He looked like some kind of erudite Victorian throwback. We don't produce people with that level of eccentricity any more and that's what the role needs. I certainly don't have it. I'm much more straight. I don't know who would be a good Dr Who. Maybe Tony Wilson.
Was there playground kudos being the son of a Time Lord?
I went to lots of different schools and the reaction was different at each one. At six at primary school in Ibiza, it was kind of cool; when I went to a comprehensive here, I'd get: 'Your dad's that f***ing actor poof.' I became the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons and I wasn't a particularly good academic: I'd either be getting the hell kicked out of me or in some kind of trouble. So I was asked to leave a lot of places. Like dad actually - he was as big a pain as me. I was given a Dalek but it was rubbish: it really was a dustbin on wheels.ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF ITBritish by birth....English by the grace of God.
