I haven't watched any yet, but I am hearing there will be some big change in the show after episode 4, and not in a good way. I am curious to see this show though
thanks for the heads up Sideshow. I enjoyed the first episode a lot. Curious though that the Starfleet people walking around in San Francisco are all wearing those uniforms from TNG. weren't all fleet uniforms changed to colored turtlenecks, gray on the shoulders?
It's amazing.. they spend almost two seasons on Voyager developing Icheb and his relationship with Seven.. the VOY episode "Imperfection" (where Icheb sacrifices his cortical node to save Seven) is one of my favorite eps of the show..
..and it all gets reduced to a quick gore-porn scene of Icheb being tortured and Seven having to mercy kill him.

That's Star Trek in 2020.
Give me 90s Trek any day.
Yup, gone are the days of Gene Roddenberry's optimistic vision of the future. Replaced the grim and gritty, to drive home some political agenda. Pass...
Is Picard a soap opera series or do they have "monster of the week" stand alone episodes ?
Soap opera. And I mean, literally there's an awful and pointless storyline where a mom tries to reconnect with her angry, resentful son after she wasn't "there" for him in his youth. And he says get out of here mom! I don't forgive you! And the camera slowly pans to sad mom face as he walks away.. these are the days of our lives..
