Game of Thrones: The Final Season

In E4 we had Davos wondering to Tyrion what the Lord of Light's ultimate motivations were in wanting the dead defeated..

Now we know. Seems a bit obvious after the fact..

This season has been a bummer, and honestly I think I enjoyed the first two more than the rest.

That heel turn last night didn't feel right to me, kind of forced, it's almost like it's the second to last episode.

Is everyone supposed to making the worst possible choice at every opportunity? Is that how the strategy of a Game of Thrones should be played? Not to be the spoiler but I stand by my support of Hot Pie as the best ruler of Westeros.

I've read that it isn't a Starbucks cup but rather one from a local establishment. Oh well, some set dresser messed up, 99.9% of the viewers never even noticed, but of course these days there has to be internet nerd rage about it.

I liked the continued character development through use of the party and scenes with just two or three actors. The show's slower moments are often the best ones. But I thought the way they walked right into the trap and lost another dragon was rushed and a definite *** moment. I know it starts to even out the playing field more and it gets Dany one step closer to becoming the Mad Queen, but she's not stupid or reckless.

Anyway, I'm still loving the adventure, even with a few hiccups here and there

I think this season may also feel rushed because of fast editing and mostly because I heard they filmed many alternative scenes and endings to throw off spoiler leaks, causing the actors to tire quickly. In an addition to this, an actress or actor never knows when to give it their all for a scene, not knowing if the footage will ever be used.

Also, it seems like, 'let's repeat the focus on these long torture scenes, then let's cut short any fun scenes'.

It would have been really good if they would have used 1977 Star Wars' scene fades throughout the episodes.

As much as I'm enjoying the show, I'm finding that I have to turn my brain off a bit more with this season. A lot of inconsistencies, out of character behavior and bad decisions, but man what a ride.

I think that for readers of the books, this kind of explains what is happening with the show rather well.

I would also like to add this... Missandei was standing in chains, knowing she is going to die, Cersei grabs her wrist, so she is very close. Missandei should have just grabbed her, and dove off the side.

Best case, Cersei dies, second best case is she is hurt real bad and her and Bran do wheel chair races to determine who get the iron throne.

Note: I am only on episode 2 of season 2. And My memory of those is sketchy. I have also seen trailers for season 8.

Here's what happens after season one through the end of season 8:

The blond bad ruler (Geoffry) dies. I don't know how, but I am sure it is drawn out and he suffers.
Geoff's mom and Uncle/Dad are banished. I think he gets eaten by wolves, and the mom lives as a slave to someone.

The short guy gains power and rules while the crippled boy officially sits on the throne.


The young man who was leading forces against Geioofry, is heralded as the savior of Winterfell. He honors his dead father.
His sister (?) (the young girl with the sword) -is missing for a couple seasons, but comes back to chop the heads off of pretty much everyone. Sjhe deals the final blow in Geof's torturre death.
The red head married to Geoff (the beheaded guys daughter?), finally does something right and we forget about the fact she was supporting geoff and she is welcomed back,.

the chunky kid how was friends with the hero, turns out to be able to talk to the wolves and is instrumental in bringing together key allies.

The zombie people from the opening scene of Season 1 episode 1 come back
Aquaman comes also comes back to life through some kind of magic. but he has been zombified and must be killed (re-killed)
His wife (sersi?) learns how to command dragons and brings fire on zombies.

Her freaky brother tries to make a play for power with the zombie prince using seductive prowess

pretty much everybody dies.

her brother dies as she holds him in tears.
in the end the sword wielding girl sits on the throne. the chunky kid is her Hand.
She sees to setting in motion 100 years of peace.
