    Future Star Wars project?

I was watching the TV Guide channel and they were running their Indiana Jones premier show and right before they went to commercial, the host mentioned that Ford had turned down 40 million dollars to reprise the role of Han Solo in a future Star Wars project to play Indy.

Is anyone buying this? Maybe it was a Star Wars - The Holiday Special sequel?

This was a rumor that was going around about a year ago. I never saw it substantiated, but the report went that Lucas offered Ford the money for the role, but Ford turned it down because he "didn't want to get stuck in the cockpit with Chewbacca 12 hours a day" (paraphrasing). It's well known that Ford dislikes Solo for some reason but Loves Indiana Jones. So there ya go.

I know he really wanted him to die in Empire/Jedi. If Lucas decides to do something with the original cast, hopefully it would be animated as opposed to live action.

Always had a problem with Ford "turning his back" on what was essentially the film that opened the doors to stardom for him...would he have been in Bladerunner or Indy if he wasn't Han...I don't think so....

^^^ You'd rather see Ford hanging out at car shows in his Han Solo costume at 60 years old? I'm sure he wasn't interested in getting type cast as a space pirate. I don't see where he owes anything to Star Wars fans or the franchise, he did the job and got paid.

Yeah, and he made three films, which was one beyond his intentions/desires. He didn't do any more Mosquito Coast movies, either... did he "turn his back" on those, too?
