STAR WARS:Episode's 1 & 2(edited & FIXED!)

I'm sure a lot of Us Star Wars Fans have heard about the Guy who edited, and greatly improved Star Wars:Episode 1. Well...His name is Mike J.Nichols, and He has apparently done it again to Episode 2(took out all the cornyness)...and done a really GREAT job!

Wow! I watched the sample footage and the edits made a huge difference! It also reminded me of why I've held so much contempt for Lucas. I thought the back story of Anakin was so thinly written, it all but destroyed that iconic menace created from the 70's and early 80's with "a New Hope" and "Empire". A movie like "Attack of the Clones" is a perfect example of a director losing objectivity because he's too close to the material. He's become such a mogul in Hollywood, he has nothing but "yes" men around him telling him everything looks good, even when it's garbage. So much of the dialog in that film made me squirm with embarrassment, it was so bad. I can't imagine how awkward Spielberg must have felt when he had to sit through that film and tell Lucas he "loved" it.

Seriously,.. after He led them threw the Planet core,.. Well ok Not really, the Character was SO pointless to the Rest of the Story. That was really the only down fall for me. I thought the Whole Point of the Movie was to indroduce Anikan,.. The Sith,.. & to show everyone what a Pleantiful Universe the Galaxy was Before the Empire & To Show Everyone Just what a Bad Arse ObiWan was ... I think they already Suceeded in those points imo.

I think They pretty much edited Him OUT! I hear the Episode:1 edit...is really short(like maybe an hour?).

I'm trying to track down Bootleg's on eBay(watching one now...it says "special Edit"). I'm waiting for a reply...to find out if it's the Mike Nichols version. Nothing came up on My search for Episode:2 though??

The Phantom Edit I do believe is about an hour and a half long. It is a much better movie without all of Anakin's yippees and yahooos.

You are probably aware of this site, but originaltrilogy.com is a great place to discuss the various fan edits out there.

The only thing I liked Jar Jar in was the Robot Chicken Star Wars Special. He was hilarious in that. I'll have to check out the edits.
