I've never been a fan of Capaldi as the Doctor (mostly because he seemed always mad and aloof), but this past season I was slowly getting there ---- I think that's reason i'm having such a had time accepting anyone else --- To me this past season is almost his first season.

BTW, if the Godspell reference is not just an accident it would be interesting seeing the Doctor as peacenik hippie --- It would be like Tom Baker's Doctor on weed

The agenda they have isn't "good science fiction for the fans", it's something way different. Doctor Social Justice Warrior isn't the title, it's Doctor Who. At least three Doctors past I was harping for a female Doctor, or a child Doctor. This wasn't what I was wanting. I think the show has gone to crap and haven't enjoyed watching it for a very long time.
