Your Top 10 Twilight Zone eps

    Hi guys!

Since it is the 4th of July, and the Sci-Fi Channel is airing their annual marathon, I thought I'd ask which TZ eps are your favorites.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Well, this is very challenging because I love TZ and the writing is so solid--I could easily name 25 episodes, but here are my idiosyncratic ten, in no order after #3:

    1. Eye of the Beholder. A masterpiece.
    2. Time Enough at Last
    3. The Masks
    4. The After-Hours
    5. What You Need
    6. Living Doll
    7. Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?
    8.It's a Good Life
    9. The Invaders
    10. Nightmare at 20,000 Feet

This was really difficult! I love so many others, like "Midnight Sun", "Five Characters", and "A Piano in the House." etc. And I didn't include any 1-hour season 4 episodes; if I did, "Miniature" would have an honorable mention.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Where's To Serve Man??????? Arguably the best one ever, as it was very influential...and downright creepy and dreary at the end.

Eye of the Beholder and Nightmare at 20,000 Feet...those two scared me the most as a kid...heck, they still do...Beholder gives me shivers and Nightmare is just jump scary, lol...

^ Hey, I said it was difficult! lol. It would have made the top 20, along with others like "The Monsters Are Due on Maple St."

And "Living Doll" is so creepy, the ending is very dark and I've always wondered if the daughter was subconsciously controlling Tina. Brrrr.

The problem with a show like this,it's hard to choose ten. Most of mine would be the ones Ray Bradbury did.

Ray Bradbury only wrote one Twilight Zone in the original series: I Sing The Body Electric

                  Two
Five Characters in Search of an Exit
                  A Penny for Your Thoughts
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street
An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge
                  The Little People
                  Mr. Bevis
                  The Invaders
                  The After Hours
                  The Hitchhiker

These are pretty much my standard favorites. They are in no particular order as they will change from time to time, although "Two" is usually tops mostly because Elizabeth Montgomery is so darned beautiful.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

OK, now I answer my own question. In no particular order:

                    1) Nightmare at 20,000 Feet
                    2) Living Doll
                    3) Night Call
                    4) The Shelter
                    5) It's A Good Life
                    6) Static
                    7) Young Man's Fancy
                    8) On Thursday We Leave For Home
                    9)The Bewitchin' Pool
                    10) Steel

There are more, of course, but these are among my most favorite.

The episode when the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, I think it was on last October.

                        In no particular order:

                        "To Serve Man"
                        "The Howling Man"
                        "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet"
"The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street"
                        "Eye of the Beholder"
                        "Night of the Meek"
                        "The Invaders"
                        "Time Enough At Last"
                        "It's a Good Life"
                        "The After Hours"

We were actually talking about TZ at work a while back and one thing we realized is how the stories are so classic and so human that the best of them could be remade right now, and except for a few nods to technology (say, something like adding a reference to everyone losing cell signal in "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street") they'd all still hold up. Serling doesn't get enough credit as the force in American literature he was.

so many great episodes, but, There's only one that matters to me, and it is

                          "the Changing of the Guard"

If you have seen it, then you might get a feel for it as I was going thru a bad period in my youth and was going to commit suicide, after watching this episode, I found salvation and redemption. It saved my life. I was never the same again, needless to say, it hold a special place in my life.

oh, and I actually preferred the OUTER LIMITS over Twilight Zone. sorry.

That's a beautiful episode with Donald Pleasance, Jorge.

OL is cool, too, but more "Monster of the Week."
