From comments made in "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" and the fact that Nardole seemed to have a screw loose in "The Pilot," I think it would be safe to assume that, if not a full-fledged robot, he's at least and android or cyborg that The Doctor constructed.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

"Smile" was pretty good...
Interesting premise, fairly well executed.
Bill is turning out to be one of my favourite companions in recent years.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

Nice to have a straight forward story like that. I concur that Bill works, not insanely clever or precious, still figuring stuff out.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Next week's show looks like a rehash of "The Beast Below" from season five, which is odd because "Smile" was directly connected to that story.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

"Thin Ice" wasn't bad.
Loved the Doctor's cool Regency period outfit. He should have worn that for the rest of the season.Last edited by Bruce Banner; May 6, '17, 6:56 PM.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

The season has been really good and, as always, I am only now realizing the current Doctor has grown on me and I'll miss him.
I'm kind of skeptical about the new Show Runner, while being excited too. New blood and a fresh start. I am currently halfway through the final season of Broadchurch, which is a way different type of show and dark, marture tone.
Unlike my wife, I am not a lifetime Whovian as I discovered DW through the C.E. 9th DW season and it took me time to accept Tennant, (Smith, less so over time,) and now PC.Comment

I thought the episode had some stand out moments especially Capaldi's comments about the value of a species.
Really consistent season thus far.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

For character development this is easy Capaldi's best season.
Hate to say this but Capaldi's run almost reminds me of Colin Bakers.
Both started as d_cks
Both started with some really bad stories
Both became arguably more likable (perhaps after fans complaints)
Both ended their run with an uncertain future to the show

I snagged Seasons 8 and 9 of WHO on Bluray at Best Buy for a ridiculously stupid price (I think it may have been a mistake) of under fiddy bucks. I've been rewatching Series 8 so far and it's a COMPLETLY different show with closed captioning on because you can actually understand what's being said, the back and forth of conversations and it's making things that made NO sense make much more sense. I highly recommend trying it if you get the chance.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them.
