This is super cool! Seeing the return of an earlier incarnation of the Cybermen was a great idea! I would agree that the current breed of Cybermen look a lot like Iron Man, Mark II (or could that be the other way 'round since the current manifestation of the Cybermen actually showed up in "The Rise of the Cybermen" in 2006, a full three years prior to the first IRON MAN film)....

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
This is great! Having watched all of the 60s Doctor Who a few years back (including the missing episodes, in reconstructed form), I couldn't be more excited about this. The sock-head Cybermen are indeed quite creepy. I hope they talk the same way as well, where their mouth slot opens up but remains static while they speak in a whining metallic monotone, then closes again.
In terms of Star Trek, this would be like having TNG-era or later crew suddenly run across some original, non-ribbed-forehead, classic series Klingons. How cool would that be?
