You know, this is such an under-rated movie.
For a 50's sci-fi movie, it's so way beyond anything ever made in the 50's .. Even beyond Forbidden Planet.
Of course I like Forbidden Planet a little better -- it had more action and was fun..
But COS had GREAT special effects, a Twilight Zone-ish story -- and their future predictions were actually pretty accuarate.
Check out the shuttle --- look familiar ?
The Mars ship looks REALLY thought out and makes me think IT COULD WORK.
The space station (the Wheel) is very 50's, but at least the filming of it looks nice.
FINALLY, people have to where helmets on Mars.
Damn good movie.
