I also LOVE time travel! And blowing up J.J.'s Enterprise might not be a bad thing...I 'd like to see the next one much closer to the TOS movies design.

Watched Zoe Saldana on Colbert last night and it kind gave away a pretty big chunk of info that pretty much lets the viewer know that some Federation starship bites it in this one, presumably the ENTERPRISE.
