Well for all we know, the "Doctor's Daughter" could have been some un-named person.
Susan was the Doctor's grand-daughter.......
And perhaps this girl is a great grand-daughter.

I just hope it is a good story.
While looking into this I went to the BBC web site. I'm suprised to fined out we are only a couple of episodes behind the UK. I know the first season was over in the UK befor we started.Comment
